Shape- Belicoso Box Press
Pre Light-Very nice box press cigar, no blemishes or soft spots nice smooth silky look to the wrapper. Smell from wrapper and foot was that of spice and tobacco. Cold draw was snug and picked up more of the spice there.
1st Third-Spicy and pepper notes especially thru the nose you could really pick up the pepper notes. The burn was a little wavy to start but the ash was solid and very dark.
2nd Third-Spice continued to be the main component as well as the pepper notes on the retrohale. I did pick up some leather notes at the midway point which gave it a very nice complexity. The burn still needed a lot of attention but what a beautiful dark ash that held on strong for about 3/4 inch. The smoke was very rich and left your mouth full of a nice tingle note.
Final Third- Nothing has really changed with this smoke it’s very consistent with lots of spice and pepper with a touch of leather notes from midway til final. Great amount of rich dark smoke and a dark ash. The only thing I had an issue with was the burn it did need me to touch up a lot.
Conclusion- My La Riqueza by Pete Johnson (Tatujue) is a very good smoke with a great amount of spice and pepper with a subtle hint of leather arriving from the midway point til finish. This to me was a medium to full body smoke that needs attention on the burn as it got very wavy from start to finish. A solid pack cigar with a strong rich, dark ash. If you havent tried this please go out and buy, you will not be disappointed. As always ENJOY.
