Diesel Unlimited
Today I’m taking a look at the A.J. Fernandez Diesel Unlimited. This cigar is a Cigar International exclusive. This cigar is the follow-up to the original Diesel line. It boast a rich full-bodied blend with ton’s of flavor’s. So sit back light up a stogie and take this journey with me.
Size-6×60
Shape-Gordo
Wrapper-Honduran Ligero
Binder&Filler-Condega and Esteli Nicaragua Long Leaf
Pre Light-My Diesel Unlimited was constructed very solid with a very dark brown oily wrapper that had a very nice shine to it. There were very minimal veins and a beautiful triple cap. On the wrapper I picked up a note of a strong tobacco and a nice oak note on the foot. The cold draw was perfect with just a tad snug to it. Notes of that oak and spice were very noticeable on the cold draw.
1st Third- Right away into the first third you are hit with a nice spice and the oak notes. Sitting in the background on a slow draw is a hint of leather that coats the back of your pallet nicely. The draw is perfect and is billowing lots of fresh clean smoke. The ash holds on for about an inch before falling off. It’s a dark grey ash that is packed solid. This so far is a full body smoke with nice medium flavors.
2nd Third- We have hit the full body and full strength here in the second third as the notes have developed. I’m still getting the spice ,oak and the leather but a new taste of earth has arrived thru the nasal. In the first third to me it starts off medium but man it doesn’t take long to go to that full. Burn is going great needing no attention and the ash is still holding its course.
Final Third and Conclusion- FULL,FULL,FULL just about sum’s it up. Notes have not changed from the second third as this really isn’t all that complex of a cigar but it does offer some really great notes. At the end here I did pick up a cocoa note but it came and went just a few small puffs. Nice draw, great burn and a solid dark ash. The smoke on this cigar reminds me of BBQ with oak wood. Go out and try this cigar you will not be disappointed at all if you enjoy a full body and full flavor smoke. As always Enjoy Your Smokes.

I, like you Mike, love a full bodied smoke. This stick in particular fits in nicely for me as a daily smoke. Simple but tasty. As always, great review.
