Joya de Nicaragua Antanos Dark Corojo

Today I’m smoking the Joya de Nicaragua Antanos Dark Corojo a gift by one of my viewers John G. This cigar has a Nicaraguan dark Corojo wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. It was released at the 2009 ICPCR show. take a tour with me and see what I think of the Joya de Nicaragua Antanos Dark Corojo.

  1. Keep the green screen, Spielberg.
Great review, as usual. I’ll have to search around for one. Can’t wait to see what your ‘ugly mug’ has planned for the changes coming in April!

  2. Hi Mike,
Please lose the green screen…it is only a bad distraction and adds nothing.
    Keep up the good work.

    • Harry thanks for checking out my site and leaving a comment. I will let my viewers decide the outcome of green screen and I appreciate your honesty.

  3. I smoked one of these when they first came out and if I remember it was a great smoke. The only problem I had with it was keeping it lit.I’m going to have to pick one up soon for another try.BTW I don’t really care for the green screen.

  4. Hey Mike,
Glad that you liked the cigar and thanks for the review. I’m going to have to give some careful thought now as to the next couple of cigars to send you that you will hopefully like even better. Looking forward to your new endeavors on the site. Good luck and all the best. By the way, switch up and go back a forth with the background.

  6. Jakob that’s is true my friend my words. I’m just messin with u ;)

  7. just last weekend, i smoked my 1st dark antano. thought it was very good, very rich and flavorful, a little spicier than the 1970 antano, which is one of my favs. i would definitely buy more. my taste buds prefer the 1970 antano, but it is a close 2nd.

  8. Nice review Mike. I say keep the green screen, it’s not perfect by any means, but I still enjoy it. And I’d also say mix up the background images.

  9. I think the green screen should go as it’s a bit distracting. Thanks for the review mike, I’ve enjoyed that smoke for a while, damn tasty.

I found your site on Toms cigar review’s website, and i really apriciate the normal everyday cigar smokers aproach. Just like tom you give a review that is informative but not too over the top with boring topical filler like some of the other review sites. Green screen or not your reviews kick ass and we like you and toms blue collar appeal.

    • Steve thanks for the great kind words, I as time try to do no bullshit ,honest reviews. I’m glad you like and hope to see more of your comments.

    Hey Mike,
I’m gonna have to lick a couple of those up. Seen them on the shelf but never tried. The green screen is distracting but I say keep it if u put a picture of Boy George up. Keep up all the hard work

  12. Mike – Green screen or not, either way is good with me. If I had to choose at gunpoint, I’d say lose the green screen though. I say that because I know it requires more effort in terms of editing. I think all of us would enjoy your reviews with or without it.

  13. I have just recently found this site, through Tom’s. It is a great site, have been reading every post on here. I would say ditch the green screen. It just seems to get in the way. Makes the video less clear.

Mike, great review and lose the screen, imo. Cool your letting the viewers decide.

    • Mike there will be one last green screen this Friday and that’s it viewers have decided and it’s gone. Thanks for the support my friend.
