Illuminati Crusade

Today for your viewing pleasure I have the Illuminati Crusade. This cigar was gifted to me by Joel Sorrentino who is the Rep. in Florida for this cigar. The cigar is made by Rocky Patel for them and is composed of Nicaraguan binder and filler with a Habano Ecuador wrapper.

Let’s see what I thought of the Illuminati Crusade.

Wrapper-Habano Ecuador

Gifted-Joel S.

Pre Light-The cigar has the appearance of a nice chocolate bar with very minimal veins. There appears to be no blemishes or soft spots and it’s packed very nicely. Off the foot I’m picking up a licorice note and from the wrapper just tobacco. Cold draw is perfect with hints of the licorice.

1st Third-It started off with a hay and earthy notes. At about 3/4 of an inch in that hay note that I’m not a fan of went away and I started just getting the earthy note. Burn is going great and ash holds on for roughly 1/2 inch. So far the cigar is very one-dimensional.

Midway-Not much has changed except for I’m getting small¬† hints of coffee in the back ground and the earth notes are the main components. The draw and burn are going really well and ash is a dark grey. I have to say this is a low medium body cigar and I’m hoping for some complexity.

Final Third-Well really no changes to me still getting the main earthy note with a little hint of coffee in the background. Burn is really good on this cigar and it produced lot’s of smoke.

Overall have to say this is a very one-dimensional cigar that for price point would like to see more complexity. If you haven’t tried this go out and give it a try to see what you get from it. I want to thank Joel for sending these and giving me the chance to review.¬† I would like to try their other cigars to see what they offer. Remember Enjoy your Smokes.

    • Matt like I said in the review its a ok smoke just the price and being one-dimensional wasnt enough for me. I do welcome the oppurtunity to try their other lines.

Good afternoon sir. Nice work as usual. Don’t have these in our area so I’ll just have to take ur word on it lol. Keep up all the hard work.

PS u fuckers r ruining the cigar industry lol

    • Rob I have to say that last comment hurt [NOT] lol. Thanks for the support as always. Remember this, all reviews are just opinions period no matter were they are. If someone really feels that way then they have issues with themselves.

It makes me laugh. I appreciate what u guys do. U guys give a little direction in an overwhelming market if u don’t know what ur doing. Keep up the hard work. Sorry I mad u cry hahaha

  4. I was curious about this stick with all the drama going on.

I think it all falls back to the problem of having someone make cigars for you and then you have to charge more to make a profit. It is not bad if you can get a very good cigar made but for a run of the mill stick, it just will not work in the end.

I still want to try them myself before passing judgement but it saddens me that most people have given it just an OK.
