La Aurora Para Japon
Size: Robusto (5×50)
Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Dominican Republic
Filler: Brazil, Dominican Republic, Cameroon
Strength: Med/Full
Pre Light
The Para Japon is a pretty nice looking stick. It has a medium brown wrapper with no major veins, a nicely applied triple cap and the cold aroma off the wrapper is off a sweet barnyard. The squeeze test shows no soft or hard spot throughout the cigar. The cold draw has a sweet earthy flavor. Without any further ado let’s light this one up “for Japan”
1st Third
In the first quarter inch of the cigar you are hit with lots of nutty flavors and a lot of thick creamy smoke. After the first half an inch you start to taste a sweet coffee flavor with earthy notes in the background. The ash in this third holds on very nicely and is a dark grey in color. The burn is very even and is burning quite cool.
2nd Third
As we come into the second third the ash is getting a little flakey but isn’t very messy. The nut and coffee flavors are still there with a nice cinnamon finish coating your palette. The burn has been very even throughout.
Final Third
As we finish up this cigar it comes only too quickly. The flavors stayed the same throughout the final third. The nut and coffee flavors blended very well together with the cinnamon just setting the cigar off. The flavors were delicious and I didn’t want the experience to end. I have to admit I wasn’t expecting much from this cigar thinking it was going to be something just thrown together in a rush but was pleasantly proven wrong. If put up the money for these cigars not only are you supporting a good cause but you are getting your money’s worth.
Keep em burnin’
Griff

I like these Para Japons. It just seems like they’re burning fast. I like the flavor, just was expecting a bit more spice.

I’ve only had the opportunity to smoke one of these and quite honestly don’t remember the experience too well. I figure if it was horrible I’d remember it so it must have been a decent. Your review intrigues me and i’ll have to get my hands on more of these to give them another go, Keep up the good work!
