Four Kicks
Well its the end of another year and what a year it has been. I decided to end the review year with a cigar that has had a lot of hype on the internet and twitter. It’s the Crowned Heads Four Kicks. I hope it can live up to my expectation as I am one of those people who has been waiting to get my hands on this cigar ever since Jon Huber made an appearance on Stogie411.com.
With out further ado here we go.

Thanks for your take on this one, Mike. The hype makes it sound like a must have, but since it’s apparently not available in my area yet, I think I’ll wait until it shows up here rather than expend the energy (and extra cash) trying to chase it down.
Have a great New Year!

Jo like I said good cigar no doubt but no wow factor as I was hoping. Wish there was more complexity and price does make it into my decision. Thanks

I had a chance to smoke one. Found it medium and ok. Price sounds a bit high for this stick (my thoughts). Unless I’m confused (as I often am) I smoked it at your herf party. Either Brett or Tad gave me one. Can’t remember which one. It didn’t wow me. It smoked nice but was bland throughout.

Daryl it was Tad that gave it to you and yes for me no wow but I got small complexity. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good stick just was hoping for more and I wish Jon Huber much success but I have to be honest with my opinion.

I’m glad that you enjoyed the Four Kicks Mike. I actually smoked the last one that I had just last night. A pleasant cigar. Happy New Year!

Excellent review Mike, thank you for keeping it real! As you know I feel the same way about this stick overall. I would call this stick light to medium. In that catagory, it is a good cigar. I am very curious to see what Jon and CH come out with next. I am not an EPC fanboy and although very solid sticks, i do find them all one dimensional and a little boring. Hoping this is not the mold with CH.

Hey Buddy first and foremost Happy New Years to you and the Mikes Stogies Crew. I enjoyed this stick, I was lucky enough to have JH send me a sampler and thought it was a very good stick. One of the biggest reasons I like your sight is your honest and don’t sugar coat anything. I feel thats the way it should be. I wish you guys nothing but the best for next year and look forward to your up coming reviews.

Once again, great review. You’re the first person I’ve come across that didn’t seem to be “blowing smoke” up Jon Huber’s ass and gave YOUR opinion on this stick. I have a sampler that I’ve yet to crack open, but when I do, we’ll see how much (if any) our palates differ with this particular smoke. Like you, I wish Jon & crew nothing but great luck with everything they do, and I wish you a Happy New Year.

Jakob I don’t kiss anyone’s ass nor do I believe Jon wants that. I know there are people who’s palate its for and some there aren’t. I wish them all the best and I look forward to smoking there next line. Thanks

I agree with your opinion. After thinking about it a bit… I think it was the bloggers and twitter that hyped it up to be the holy grail of cigars. There is an ass kissing factor out there in the blogosphere. Sometimes to the point of desperation to be a part of the industry. This place isn’t on that list of course.
I don’t have any memories of Jon trying to hype it into something it isn’t. He is probably too humble to do such a thing. But it is a good stick, no argument.

Tom I think u said it best. Jon is very humble and I have great respect for. I believe Twitter and other blogs blew the hype up and I believe a lot of ass kissing. I believe and always believe to tell the truth and that’s what majority of manufactures want. It’s a good cigar period. Best to you and your site my friend.
