Cuba Aliados Limitado aka Cuba Aliados Cabinet Selection
This cigar was the most difficult cigar to find any information on and to my surprise I had no luck. This is the Cuba Aliados Limitado by the Reyes Family. I check 23 site and the Reyes family site with no luck. There is the Miami Limitado but your guess is as good as mine. I believe this may not have been made in Miami so they took that band off but its a guess. if anyone has info please let me know I,ll add to this post.
I want to thank Jeff for sending me information after this post was up regarding this cigar. It appears that the real name is the Cuba Aliados Cabinet Selection, which doesn’t say that any where on the cigar. Here is what Jeff sent me.
The wrapper, binder and filler are all cuban seed Habano, grown in Danli Honduras. It comes in three sizes the robusto, torpedo and toro. Price ranges from 6-7 a stick.
Congrats to James M. for winning the Gurhka giveaway, please email me your info and I will get your package out. hogman@mikesstogies.com

LOL! Ah-lee-ah-dos. Great review, Mike. It’s frustrating when you can’t find any info on a cigar, but I did find out that this is called the Cabinet Selection. This is from a press release from last year: “The Cuba Aliados Cabinet Selection is the 2nd cigar we are debuting at the trade show. This is another unique blend because it contains tobacco from our first homegrown crop. My grandfather is ecstatic that we are finally able to grow our own tobacco, and this blend is a testament to a lifetime labor of love. Three sizes will be available, Robusto, Torpedo & Toro, suggested retail pricing between $6.00 & $7.00. The wrapper, binder & filler are all Cuban seed Habano, grown in Danli, Honduras. This blend will be manufactured in Honduras, so it will be widely available.”
I only discovered this because I ran across this:

It would be nice if they would update the Reyes Family website, but then again, I could say that about most of the manufacturers.
Like you said, big thanks to all the contributors to this site. Great work, guys!

You are a trooper man… If I simply don’t feel like doing a review, I don’t do it. Thanks for being dedicated!
You pronounced it correctly a few times… Ali-ah-dos

I like the shape of this stick. Kind of a soft rolled torp. Sounds like a good stick! I tried to find info but NOTHING! I think you are correct though. Maybe a Miami but not manufactured in Miami. Who knows. Keep up the great work Mike. Hope you are feeling better.

I’ve since found that it’s also available from Corona Cigar.

Mike,
Received this info from Frank Santos, Marketing Director, at Reyes Family Cigars:
Hello Gary,
There is actually plenty information on the internet about the Cuba Aliados Cabinet, but unfortunately I have not updated our website, so yes, shame on me.
Here are a few links on the Cabinet:
http://www.neptunecigar.com/av/cigars-brands-cuba_aliados_cabinet_selection.aspx
http://www.cigaraficionado.com/webfeatures/show/id/16858 – Best bargain cigar of 2012
http://cigarobsession.com/tag/cuba-aliados-cigars/
Now, is there any other info I can help you with regarding the cigar? As far as updating the site, yes, that is a work in progress.
Thank you for your support. As a matter of fact, where do you purchase our cigars? (Neptune Cigars in Miami)

Gary this is old but thanks and I was able to finally find information on this cigar but it was difficult as the name they call it is no where on that cigar. I appreciate your help on this and as for where did I purchase I am not sure where I got this as it was sometime ago. Thanks again
