PRE LIGHT; This blend was created to celebrate the birth year of rocky himself. Its my under standing that,at first, this was a B&M only blend. it was also the first to be made at the Tabacalera Villa Cuba factory owned by rocky.  The wrapper is the first thing that catches my eye.It has a nice oily and toothy  sheen to it and is seamless and vien free. the corona is firm from head to foot and exudes a barn yard smell to it.
FIRST HALF; the head cut firmly and cleanly and the pre smoke draw was easy, the initial flavor takes on characteristics of black pepper, dry wood, and nutmeg. Powerful and full-bodied to the palate, with the flavor resting primarily on the back of the tongue. The smoke was plentiful and full. The draw remaining easy and full. I had to pace this cigar a bit other wise it would heat up.
THE SECOND HALF; The flavor ramped down from full to medium full. This is a power house of a corona! It is not for the faint of heart or palate for that matter. The burn was even and the flavor, other than taming itself a bit, remained from beginning to end. I really enjoyed this smoke. It has a long finish and the blend will certainly satisfy the full-bodied,full flavor crowd.
THE FINISH; Next to the toro size, the corona,is my favorite. especially during the hot summer months we have here. It bares pointing out that if you look at pictures of cigar blenders and brand owners in the factories;more often than not they are holding the corona size. why? because some of the most flavorful sizes in a line is the corona. It is also  a difficult size to blend to due the limitations of the ring gauge.I did’nt put a price point down as I have seen boxes going for as little as 60$ to the msrp of 130$. But at the lower price end this corona is” all get out”  of a deal. ALL THE BEST-SMOKINJOE

Thanx for the review! I have not been a huge RP fan in the past so I often overlook them when picking a stick out to try. Therefore, I have not had this stick. You have piqued my curiosity with this review and will definitely give it a try.

  2. Nice Review Joe, wrapper looks nice and oily. don’t smoke to many RPs but I don’t shy away from them either. I’ll try one if I find it.
