My Father Le Bijou 2010

Posted in Cigar Reviews on April 10, 2012 by youngbuckbotl

The My Father Le Bijou Toro. This review I really enjoyed doing because this cigar happens to be my favorite cigar out there, but… this cigar isn’t just a cigar you can grab off the shelf. It is a two year aged Le Bijou. Little info I was gifted this cigar by a member at the shop I work at. He was going through his locker and found a whole unopened box of these so I said “ahhh hemmm wanna give me one?” He happily obliged only because I held a gun to his head with saliva drooling out of my mouth. You may be saying to yourself right now “Damn this kid gets off track” but I assure you I do it for good reason and that is because these cigars are without a doubt the best cigars in the world. That being said from a master blender whom shall stay nameless due to the fact he doesn’t want people to know who he is. Ok I give up its me. I’m a master blender. I really need to do a video review all this typing and dialect really hurts my delicate fingers.

Wrapper:   Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro
Binder:   Nicaraguan
Filler:   Nicaraguan
Size:   Toro
Price:   Priceless

First Third: First third started out a little spicy on the back end of the palate with a very nice chocolate flavor on the front of the palate. Now the retrohale was also a little spicy. But after about an inch in to the cigar you got great tastes of more chocolate hints of cedar  and a little ever so slight sweetness.

Second Third: The second third was not much different it just seemed to mellow down a bit. There was a predominate chocolate taste to it and not a slight bit of spice like you would from a normal off the shelf Le Bijou. The only time you would get spice was with the retrohale.

Final Third: Now the final third surprised me a little but then again it didn’t at the same time. The spice came back just like it did with the first inch but not strong. It was a nice just saying hi spice so a complete change from a normal Le Bijou

Overall I loved it. Not to say I knew I was going to but I tried my best to go into this review like a jury on a trial. I knew I have always liked the Le Bijou’s so I had to be bias and I think I did a pretty good job at it. But overall this cigar smoked flawlessly and I enjoyed every second of it. If I could I would smoke this cigar everyday for the rest of my life.

God bless and all of you have a good two weeks see you then.
