The Grand Reserve by Nestor Miranda and Miami Cigars has an oily chocolate brown wrapper with no overly large veins running through it. The torpedo is triple capped and has a nice gold and green band. The aroma I pick up off the cold wrapper is sweet and earthy. After snipping of the cap I pick up notes of earth, wood and a sweetness off the cold draw. The draw feels just right and the cigar is generously packed from head to foot.
1st Third
The cigar opens up with some slight pepper on my palette but is quickly subdued but the flavors of earth and wood. The Grand Reserve puts off quite a lot of smoke both off the draw and foot that seems to just float in front of my face. The burn line has been a little wavy but hey compared to my last couple reviews it’s not that big a deal.
2nd Third
The sweetness I picked up on the cold draw has finally showed up around the halfway point. It’s a nice compliment to the earth and wood flavors from the beginning of the cigar. I needed to relight the cigar once during the second third but that was my own fault for letting it sit too long.
Final Third
Well I’m wrapping up the Grand Reserve and here in the final portion of the cigar the pepper kicked back up quite a bit. The other flavors stayed about the same with notes of coffee popping in and out from time to time. The burn was good for the rest of my experience and stayed very cool right down to the end.
Overall
I very much enjoyed this cigar and will definitely be picking up a few more of these when I head back over to my local B&M. I enjoyed the flavor profile except it seriously dried my mouth out. I needed an extra glass of water for this one.

Another tine review Griff. I am always looking for a good Conn. Broadleaf that can hold my attention for the whole smoking experience. This one might just fit the bill!
