Headley Grange Estupendos by The Crowned Heads

Today I was lucky enough to be one of the few to get their hands on the new cigar coming in August from The Crowned Heads. It’s the Headley Grange and here is some info for you. It’s size is a 51/2×52 I call it a soft box press. ;This cigar has a Sumatra (Ecuador) wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The price point TBD isn’t available yet but come IPCPR you will hear lot’s of buzz. This Cigar will have a production of 1,000 boxes of 24 count and then in Spring of 2013 they will release 3 other sizes as follows, Eminentes:51/4×44,Corona Gorda:55/8×46 and Dobles:61/8×50. The Headley Grange is NOT a limited edition but the sophomore cigar of the fine folks at The Crowned Heads. So without further ado let’s see what I ;think of this cigar. After speaking with Jon Huber he informed me the shape of the cigar is actually called a trunk press (old school).

  1. Pretty high praise and bold predictions my friend. Thanks for getting this review up. It’s definitely on my radar.

    • Jason this cigar deserves everything I stated and yes bold prediction seeing I haven’t smoked anything coming out of IPCPR yet, but I stand by it. Thanks

  2. Damn son…. Very Surprising from you to say it has out done your stand by Stick. the guys over at Crowned Heads are just really on full blast ever since they started they are great they market well, they don’t forget where they came from, they keep in touch with the Small people (aka myself) and really really support their product. I can’t wait to try this stick I loved the Four Kicks and I’m sure this one will be just as good. Great to see your ugly mug back on video

    • Corey I’m as honest as they come and I admit it was hard to knock of the Epernay but The Crowned Heads have the best now. Just hope CA gets it right. Thanks buddy.

  3. Trying the Headley Grange……you lucky %$#. Good for you. Knocking off the Epernay? That is a bold statement but I believe you. I was looking forward to trying the Headley Grange the first time I read about it and now I’m looking forward to it even more. Thanks for the review Mike.

  4. Nice review, really looking forward to getting my hands on these in august. Big fan of Jon and Mike and the work they are doing to bring great cigars to the maketplace.

  5. Mike – Thanks so much for the enthusiastic thumbs-up! Muchly appreciated. Truth is, it was your Four Kicks review that inspired me to ‘turn it up’ a notch.

Corey – Not to worry…will never forget where I/we came from, brotha. So long as good people, such as yourself, continue to enjoy what we do, we will keep doin it!

    Gratefully,

    Jon Huber

    • Jon I’m honored and humbled that you took my not so favorable review of your four kicks into consideration when thinking of your next blend. It truly shows that their are people like yourself that really care about the consumers opinion and truthfully that’s all it was. You have a winner here and cigar of the year no doubt even before others come out with new blends at IPCPR.
