Di Fazio
Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Honduras
Filler: Honduras, Nicaragua
Size: Churchill
Pre Light
The Di Fazio is a well packed smoke with an extra dark chocolate wrapper and a slightly oiled sheen. The cigar has a nice in hand feel. The wrapper has a sweet smell to it with a slight spice and after slicing off the cap I get the same in the flavor profile. The draw is open but not too free.
1st Third
This smoke starts off with a slight kick of spice followed up with hints of chocolate. It is putting off a nice amount of smoke and has a sweet room aroma to it. The burn has evened itself after starting off a little wavy.
2nd Third
The chocolate flavor remains in the middle portion although the pepper has faded away. The background flavor has become a smoke wood along with a subtle coffee. The burn has stayed cool and even with no problems.
Final Third
The flavor profile has stayed the same with the pepper kicking back in slightly. The cigar burned straight through all the way to the nub without needing any touch ups or relights.
Overall
For a cigar I’ve never heard of this was a nice surprise. The flavors were rich, enjoyable and slightly complex. I had no construction problems throughout. I don’t know the exact price of these cause it was a gift. I wouldn’t mind tracking a few more of these down.
Keep em burnin’

Thanx for another great review Griff! Another stick I have not heard of as well. You are becoming the king of the obscure and I like it! Keep up the great work bro.
