Padilla Single Batch #17RC
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
This single batch cigar has a milk chocolate wrapper and is quite veiny. The wrapper has that sweet barnyard aroma to it. After snipping off the cap with a straight cut the draw is a little snug but still workable. The flavors on the cold draw were of cocoa and pepper.
Kicking off with a slight pepper and a very dull cocoa the cigar is enjoyable. The burn is going fairly fast for the draw being a little tight and not getting a ton of smoke out of either end. The pepper died out and was replaced with a rich coffee flavor.
Picking up in the middle just where I left off in the first third the flavors have stayed the same except for a burnt wood flavor popping in and out. The burn line is a little wavy but still stays even all the way around.
Reaching the end of the cigar the pepper kicked back up but the cocoa and coffee flavors stayed the focal point of the smoke. Construction was good and didn’t need any relights or touch ups.
I enjoyed this smoke even though it stayed the same throughout. The price point on this is fairly low so I guess it lived up to my expectations. The draw was a little tighter than I would’ve liked but other than that there was nothing to complain about.
Keep em burnin’
