The Revolution is an oval shaped cigar like the San Lotano Oval. I really like the way the shape of this cigar fits and feels in both my hand and mouth. The wrapper has a slightly oiled sheen to its milk chocolate shade. There are no large veins and feels well packed from head to foot. The wrapper smells of manure and on the cold draw I picked up a sweetness.
After lighting it up I’m not getting any of the sweetness I picked up on the cold draw and am instead getting a light wood and earthiness. The draw is really good with lots of creamy smoke just sitting in the air.
In the middle portion of the cigar I start to pick a dry grassy flavor to go with the wood I was getting in the first third. Every once in a while I am getting a rich tobacco flavor. The burn is even and cool with the ash being a slightly dark gray.
The final third opens with a sort of bouquet flavor but it comes and goes with the wood and grassy flavors still in the forefront.
The flavors in this cigar were quite different than anything else I’ve smoked in a while. The flavors were light but still had a little kick of power to it. The price point on these was around $5 and you can’t beat that for a good cigar. Get out there and give them a try.
Keep em burnin’
