Diesel Shorty
Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Size: 4.5 x 60
Pre Light
There is a nice dark brown shade to this cigar with minimal veins running through the wrapper. The wrapper has a sweet and peppery aroma to it and feels well packed from head to foot. After snipping the cap off the cigar has a cocoa flavor to it.
1st Third
The cigar kicks off with that Nicaraguan pepper but quickly opens to that cocoa I was picking up in the cold draw. The draw is free and is burning at a decent pace. The burn line is pretty even and slow.
2nd Third
The chocolate flavor is still there but is now met with a sweet coffee in the background. The pepper still shows itself every once and a while. The burn is still even and cool.
Final Third
The chocolate flavor has now faded to the back and the coffee has made its way to the forefront and is introduced with a wood flavor. The burn stayed relatively even and burned cold and slow.
Overall
I enjoy these cigars. They have a nice group of flavors and are well constructed. AJ Fernandez has really becoming a big presence in cigar blending these past few years. Well that’s just my opinion get out there and try em.
Keep em burnin’
Griff

I’m no fan of the large ring smokes, but I actually enjoyed the one that I had. Is this a new band?
