Civil Cigar Lounge
One of the best parts about living in the DC Metro Area is all the great places to go smoke cigars. This last week, Civil Cigar Lounge opened its doors to the public. I had the opportunity to get a preview of everything they have to offer before its official opening.
As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by a friendly hostess who offered to take my jacket, the one of the managers, Juan gave me a tour. He first showed me the retail space.
The cigars are displayed in glass cases, free of human hands aside from employees. Once you’ve made your selection you are offered cutting and lighting options as well as pairing suggestions if desired.
Outside the retail space and down the hallway into the lounge area are 120 locker spaces for member storage.
One of the club rooms has three walls of glass, two of which are used as display cases for their selection of wine.
This club room also has several areas with chairs, couches and tables, great for relaxing with a cigar and good company.
And the wallpaper is just cool!
Outside the club room is the bar area with tables, groups of chairs and a great selection of libations. My personal favorite on the menu is the cinnamon Manhattan.
There are also several private areas available for a fee.
My first experience at Civil Cigar Lounge was very pleasant. The service was superb, the cigars were excellent and of course the company was amongst friends. I look forward to going again very soon and would absolutely recommend it as a stop for any aficionado in the DC area!

I’ve only been to the DC area a few times. I have never had the opportunity to stop and visit one of the many shops they have to offer but I’d love to see this one. It’s one of those once in a lifetime opportuntirs I just have to do. I’ll have to make it part of my next vacation trip ( much to the wife’s dismay) but we only live once! Thanks for sharing!

Great review Christine. I must not be paying close enough attention though, I thought you lived in Texas next to oil rigs.
